What a day!

The weather gods were benevolent (not a lot of rain), the stalls provided a wonderful selection of produce to eat and drink, Council health and safety officers happy, the police not so happy, punters obviously happy, and the volunteers exhausted.

The Fayre today was a wonderful event.

Front page of The Advocate

The Fayre made the front page of The Advocate on Tuesday.

And the co-ordinator was interviewed on ABC Ballarat yesterday morning.

Can you make the perfect pancake?

Christine Lewis, owner of 65 Main, says she can. And she'll be demonstrating her skills at the Fayre on Sunday at 2.30pm.
This was Christine demonstrating the perfect poached pear last year.

The Age Epicure and Jetstar

The Fayre got a mention in today's Epicure.  They called Glenlyon a blip on the map - hey our town might be a blip but it's a very significant blip!

Jetstar has loaded an item about the Fayre on one of their corporate websites. Looks good - thanks Jetstar.

Promotion

Signs are starting to appear on the main roads leading into Glenlyon and last week we decorated the window of the Daylesford Visitor Information Centre.  The space is small and in a difficult position - photos are hard to come by, and filled with reflection.  So this will have to do.

Publicity for the Fayre

The Australian Regional Food Guide has included a listing for the Fayre here.  And Voice FM in Ballarat interviewed the Fayre co-ordinator during the week.

Buzz along to the Fayre for delicious biscuits

Janey Bee will bee at the Fayre - looking colourful and selling her more-ish biscuits.  She recently featured in a photo essay on the Daylesford Farmers Market, which appeared in The Advocate.
In case you can't work it out - that's her on the left!

Stop Press!

Piper Street Food Co has just picked up three gold and two silver awards at the RASV (Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards).  Are they a little excited?  We think so!  You should have seen the number of exclamation marks on their email.

Fayre media

The Fayre has been featured in The Advocate newspaper.

The co-ordinator has been interviewed on Voice FM.

Jetstar has requested photos and info for one of their corporate websites.

The Fayre will be in the Events listing in The Age on 28 July.

Delicious mulled wine will keep out the cold

Jenny Ellender from Ellender Estate featured in a recent article in The Advocate.  Thanks Jenny!
Come along to the Fayre and warm up with a cup of spiced mulled wine.

Fayre raffle

Each year the organisers of the Fayre come up with some great raffle prizes.  These are provided by local businesses who show their support of the Fayre by donating goods and services. This year is no different.

Glenlyon General Store is donating a $50 meal voucher (worth every cent - chef Elizabeth turns out the best food).

Ellender Estate is donating a HUGE hamper filled with local goodies, including their own fab wines.

And 65 Main is putting together a great getaway package.

It's worth coming to the Fayre just to enter the raffle!

When Cinning comes naturally

A newcomer to the Fayre is Sweet Cins.  Owner Cindy Crozier was once chef at the acclaimed Sault Restaurant in Sailors Falls.  Since leaving Sault, Cindy has established Sweet Cins - turning out boutique handmade chocolate goodies.

A quick check of her website  shows that there are at least 15 different ways of cinning.  Come to the Fayre and find out for yourself.
