Golden oldies mix it with newcomers at the Fayre

It is said change is good – and this year’s Fayre sees quite a few changes amongst the food and wine producers.

There will be several new producers showcasing their wares at the Fayre.  Three of Glenlyon’s smallest food businesses -  Saffronopolis, Truly Madly Deeply and Glenlyon Preserves will join together with a pop-up stall.  Saffronopolis, as the eponymous name suggests, will have saffron on sale. How exciting is that? Saffron grown in Glenlyon.  Truly Madly Deeply is producing delicious sweet and savoury biscuits and the most delish ginger cake.  And visitors to the Glenlyon Village Market will know Glenlyon Preserves – seasonal fruits captured in gorgeous jams and jellies.

A decade after Carla and Ann-Marie launched their new Holy Goat cheeses at the Fayre, they return.  This year there’ll be an even greater variety of cheeses to taste and buy.

And given we live in the potato country it’s time spuds make an appearance at the Fayre.  Wonga Style Twisty Potatoes will tantalise your taste buds.

Unfortunately, a couple of regulars won’t be at the Fayre, because the weather caused cropping issues and they don’t have enough product to offer visiting gourmets.
